Public Transport Services

The Public Transport Service in Innsbruck consists of a comprehensive network of bus and tram routes operated by the 'Innsbrucker Verkehrsbetriebe' (IVB). This travel network provides easy access to the Innsbruck 2012 venues within the city of Innsbruck.

Each Innsbruck 2012 ticket (Venue Day Ticket and Ceremony Ticket) is valid as a travel pass 1,5 hours before the start of and 1,5 hours after the end of the event on all public buses, trams and Nightliner night buses operating in the main Innsbruck city zone of the IVB travel network. Terms and conditions of the 'Innsbrucker Verkehrsbetriebe and Stubaitalbahn GmbH' apply.

Spectators with a valid Innsbruck 2012 Youth Olympic Games ticket for a competition event at Seefeld Arena are entitled to use the public railway (ÖBB) between Innsbruck and Seefeld on the day of the event. Innsbruck 2012 Youth Olympic Games tickets for events in Seefeld Arena are valid as a travel pass 3 hours before and 3 hours after the event. On competition days, an additional shuttle service will connect Seefeld Train Station with the Competition Venue Seefeld Arena. This shuttle service will be provided according to train schedules.

Spectators with a valid Innsbruck 2012 ticket for a competition event at Kühtai are entitled to use public buses of Verkehrsverbund Tirol (VVT) between Innsbruck Main Train Station (Gate G) and Kühtai for free. These buses will operate on competition days only.
