CLOSING CEREMONY TRANSPORT INFORMATION

MEDIA AT MMC

Transport is via the IYOGOC Common Shuttle Service Y20 which departs Stand Y20 at the City Transport Mall (CTM) directly outside Olympiaworld / MMC.

Y20 bus service departs every 15 minutes from: 05:40 am – to last bus at 00:30.

Exit bus at Congress Innsbruck and walk to Closing Ceremony.

Return Buses depart the Y20 bus stop at Congress Innsbruck in 15 minutes – The Last Y20 from Congress Innsbruck back the Olympia World CTM is at 00:30

YOG TRANSPORT SYSTEM FOR ACCREDITED CLIENTS

IYOGOC will provide a YOG Transport System for accredited Clients. The YOG Transport System will include a Common Shuttle Service (CSS) and Pre-Planned Transport Services, complemented by access to the Public Transport Service.

The YOG Transport System will operate from two main transport hubs, connecting all venues of the Innsbruck 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games:

  • Youth Olympic Village Transport Mall (YTM) – The YTM is located in front of the Welcome Centre at the Youth Olympic Village.
  • City Transport Mall (CTM) – The CTM serves as a bus hub for all Innsbruck 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games venues. The CTM is located at Olympiaworld Innsbruck.

COMMON SHUTTLE SERVICE (CSS)

The CSS comprises regular bus services for all accredited Client Groups.

CTM to venues within Innsbruck (Y20 Yellow Route Innsbruck Shuttle)
The Yellow Route connecting the CTM with all venues within Innsbruck, including the YOV Transport Mall (YTM), will operate on a loop.

CTM to venues outside Innsbruck (Y30/Y40/Y50)
The services connecting the CTM to venues outside Innsbruck will operate in accordance with the official training and competition schedules.

The routes for the venues outside Innsbruck will be served by:

  • Y30 Blue Route Patscherkofel / Olympic Sliding Centre Innsbruck
  • Y40 Red Route Seefeld Arena
  • Y50 Black Route Kühtai

IYOGOC will provide updated information and schedules in early January 2012 on this Website.

YOV to Congress Innsbruck (Y10 Green Route YOV Shuttle)
The Green Route connecting the YOV and Congress Innsbruck (within walking distance of the YOV Hotel) will operate on a loop.

Please note that limited services will operate on 7 and 8 January 2012 during the YOV Soft Opening, according to the arrival and departure information provided by NOCs to the Official Travel Agency.

PRE-PLANNED TRANSPORT SERVICES

YOV to venues outside Innsbruck (D30/D40/D50)
Pre-planned direct transport connecting the YOV Transport Mall to venues outside Innsbruck (Seefeld Arena, Patscherkofel / Olympic Sliding Centre Innsbruck and Kühtai) will operate for athletes and team officials from 10 to 22 January 2012 according with the official training and competition schedules.

  • D30 Patscherkofel / Olympic Sliding Centre Innsbruck
  • D40 Seefeld Arena
  • D50 Kühtai

Arrival and Departure
For arrivals and departures at Innsbruck Main Train Station, accredited Innsbruck 2012 Clients can use the Y20 Yellow Route, the Public Transport Service or local taxi services (self paid). Detailed information will be available at the YOG Information Desk* at the Main Train Station from 9 to 24 January 2012.

For arrivals and departures at Innsbruck Airport, accredited YOG Clients can use the YOG Arrival/Departure Service*, the Public Transport Service or local taxi services (self paid). Detailed information will be available at the YOG Information Desk* at Innsbruck Airport from 9 to 24 January 2012.

*Operational in accordance with the travel data provided to the Official Travel Agency by accredited Clients.

Opening & Closing Ceremonies
Pre-Planned Transport Services will be provided for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies. IYOGOC will provide accredited Clients with information on the timings and procedures prior to the Opening and Closing Ceremonies.

Culture & Education Programme
Congress Innsbruck will host the majority of CEP activities and accredited Clients may use the Y10 Green Route, the Y20 Yellow Route or the Public Transport Service to reach this location. For all CEP activities not taking place at Congress Innsbruck, the transport meeting point will be Congress Innsbruck. Details will be available at the CEP Information Desk.

ACCESS TO THE PUBLIC TRANSPORT SERVICE FOR ACCREDITED CLIENTS

All accredited Innsbruck 2012 Clients will be entitled to use the Public Transport Service (bus and tram) provided by Innsbrucker Verkehrsbetriebe (IVB) within the city of Innsbruck free of charge from 1 to 31 January 2012. The Youth Olympic Identity and Accreditation Card (YOIAC) will be required to access these services
